Senior Film Project (Stop Motion Puppet, Set & props)

For my senior film, Baked Sale, I chose Stop Motion as the medium for telling Geri B.’s story. I enjoyed the details that went into designing and fabricating the main character, her clothing, the set and various props (excluding the cat, copper pots, clock and items on top of the refrigerator). My mother provided her skills as a seamstress, taking my clothing designs from pattern to wearable puppet garments.

Stop Motion (puppets & Set): Photographic Narrative

For my photography class, chose to use puppets and set of Baked Sale to create a photographic PSA narrative about domestic violence in the elderly community. Took advantage of lighting and staging of puppets to convey the seriousness of domestic abuse. Assets, excluding male puppet, copper pots, clock, side table with lamp, and items on top of the refrigerator) create the illusion of a happy home with underlying problems. My mother provided her skills as a seamstress, taking my clothing designs from pattern to wearable puppet garments (except for male puppet pant).

Stop Motion (puppet & Set)

My first puppet, Maurena, was based on a Steam Punk story plot. Building the set was a magical process that involved the use of various materials, including shoe polish...

Stop Motion (Clay)

Testing my skills at making clay characters. This young lady transforms into a beautiful all-seeing creature.

Stop Motion (Armature)

Stop Motion I: This class taught me the value of building a sturdy armature. The challenge was to create a character with a two-toned metal look...pot scrubbers, a strainer and screen mesh make for a jaunty outfit.
